Warp and Weft
Every thread in, every pick counted.
The class woven into one cloth. A giant paper loom with every graduate as a thread, a fabric spec sheet for the cohort, and the finished weave cut from the loom at the end.

The concept
Four years of spinning, weaving and testing. This is the cloth.
Warp and Weft turns the day into one length of fabric. A big frame is strung as a loom, every graduate's name is printed on a paper strip, and the class weaves the strips in one by one, over and under, until the gaps close. A spec sheet records the cloth: count, density, weave, strength. At the end, the weave comes off the loom, signed, and goes to the department.
It's for textile engineering students who know the mills of Mahalla and Kafr El-Dawwar by name and have opinions about cotton staple length. The palette is loom purple, raw-cotton white and one dye red for the selvedge.

Identity
A fabric spec and a weave mark.
A fabric-spec lockup — count, ends per cm, picks per cm, weave — in Arabic and English, with the department code as the fabric code. Supplied editable.
A plain-weave mark and a four-page guide to the one rule: red is the selvedge, the edge of the cloth, and nothing else.

Close on hands weaving, then the cloth growing, then the spec sheet, then the class behind the finished weave.
A warm, textured grade. Shoot the weave with light raking from the side so every strip throws a shadow.
