A capture-the-flag night for the cohort. Access passes for everyone, a flag hidden in every corner, and one door that only opens when the whole group has escalated to root.

The concept

Four years of breaking in, legally. Get root.

Root Access runs the day as a capture-the-flag. Everyone starts with a guest pass, flags hidden around the room each unlock a privilege, and when the cohort has found every flag the last door opens: root access, and the party behind it.

It's for security students who read every terms of service. The palette is terminal black, pass white and a green that only means access granted.

Identity

An access pass and a privilege level.

An access-pass system — user, level, from, to, expiry — supplied editable in English and Arabic, one pass per graduate.

A user ID per person and a four-page guide on the one rule: green means granted, and only granted.

Every design here opens in Studio, the editor that comes in the kit. Retype anything in English or Arabic, move it, add your faculty's name or a photo, delete what you don't want, then print it to PDF at size. It runs in any browser, offline.

Photography

Twelve shots, in order, for a dark room and screens.

Faces lit by phones and screens is the look, so the list stays low-light: a flag found under a chair, the scoreboard filling, the door opening.

A grade preset that keeps greens from going neon.

Video

One 45-second edit anybody can cut on a phone.

Flags found one after another, ending on the door code entered.

User ID titles as transparent PNGs, plus a CapCut guide.

Eight pieces come in every realm, drawn in that realm's own colours. Each one is a print file at its real size with a how-to page — send it to a print shop or make it at home. Your department code and year change on all of them at once in Studio.
