The concept

Four years of equations about light. Look up.

Light Year stages the day as an observation night. A star chart on the wall names a star after every graduate, a borrowed telescope points at the moon or Saturn, and at the end the cohort's stars are joined into one new constellation.

It's for physics and astronomy students who know how far away everything really is. The palette is night navy, chart white and one star yellow.

Identity

A star chart and a catalogue number.

A star-chart and catalogue system — star, magnitude, right ascension, declination — supplied editable in English and Arabic.

A catalogue number per person and a four-page guide on the one rule: yellow is starlight, and only starlight.

Arabic line سنة ضوئية means “light year”

Twelve shots, in order, for a dark roof.

Very little light, so the list uses long exposures on a phone: a face at the eyepiece, the glowing wall, the whole cohort under the sky.

A grade preset that keeps night skies navy, not grey.

Video

One 45-second edit anybody can cut on a phone.

Stars appearing on the chart one by one, ending on the finished constellation.

Catalogue titles as transparent PNGs, plus a guide to night shooting on a phone.
