The concept

Four years of counting to eight. Count it in once more.

Five Six Seven Eight stages the day as the last run-through before a performance. Every graduate has a numbered mark taped on the studio floor, the counts sheet hangs on the mirror, short solos run through the afternoon, and the day ends with the whole cohort dancing one routine from their marks.

It's for dance and ballet students who hear music in counts. The palette is studio violet, barre white and one spotlight gold.

Mirrors double everything, so the list uses them: feet on marks, a jump caught mid-air, the whole formation reflected.
