The concept

Medical school gives you one ceremony and it belongs to the faculty. This one belongs to you.

Do No Harm stages the day as a coat ceremony your group runs itself. Coats embroidered with each person's name and intended specialty, a wall of anonymous cards where people write the case that changed how they think, an instrument table laid out as a still life, and a reading of the oath in language the cohort wrote rather than inherited.

It is the most formal realm in the catalogue on purpose — this is the one day where dressing up is not a costume. Palette is surgical green and clinical white, which is also the only palette this group will accept.

Identity

A chart header, a name, a specialty. Restraint is the whole brief.

A chart-header system used on programmes, place cards and the case wall: name, year, intended specialty, set in one weight with no ornament at all.

An embroidery lockup sized for a coat pocket, supplied as a stitch file, plus a four-page guide whose main instruction is what not to add.

Take coats and the stitch file to an embroiderer in bulk. Order two weeks earlier than feels necessary — names come back misspelt if you rush it, and there is no fixing that on the day.

Twelve shots, in order, for a formal room.

A formal day photographs badly if you shoot it like a party, so the list is portrait-led: one frame per person in the coat, same mark, same light, shot as a set.

Plus a grade preset pair that keeps white coats white under warm hall lighting, which is the single hardest thing here.

Video

One 45-second edit anybody can cut on a phone.

Coats going on, the case wall in close-up, the oath read in one unbroken take.

Titles as transparent PNG sequences, plus a CapCut guide on recording spoken word on a phone in a room with an echo.
