The concept

Four years of maps. Plot the cohort.

Contour stages the day as a field survey. A big map of Egypt on the wall gets a pin for every graduate's home town, string runs from each pin to the faculty, and the survey closes when the last route is plotted and the map is signed.

It's for geography and GIS students, who draw maps of everything. The palette is survey green, map paper and one contour brown.

Identity

A map legend and a grid reference.

A map legend and survey-card system — name, origin, grid reference, elevation — supplied editable in English and Arabic.

A grid reference per person and a four-page guide on the one rule: brown is the contour, never the text.
