The concept

Four years of work that only ever existed on a screen. Print it.

Compile & Run stages your day as a release. A build wall of red lamps that flip green as each person checks in, commit-history posters printed from your own repositories, a physical terminal on a plinth that takes typed input all day, and a changelog of the cohort read out at the end.

The palette is terminal charcoal and paper white with one green that only ever means passing. It is built for a lab or a hall, at night, under bad strip lighting.

Identity

A version number per person and a monospace grid for everything else.

Semantic versioning applied to people: everyone is v4.0.0 on the day, and the printed changelog lists what each of them broke and fixed.

A strict monospace grid for every printed piece, plus a four-page guide with the one rule — the green is a status, never a decoration.

    The build wall

    A grid of lamps, one per person, wired to switches. Red on arrival, flipped green when they check in. By 3pm the wall is green and that is the photograph.

    The terminal

    An old machine, a big monitor and a keyboard on a wrapped plinth, running a prompt that only accepts messages. Everything typed is printed at the end of the day.

Photography

Twelve shots, in order, for a room lit by screens.

Screens and lamps are the only real light, so the list gives an exposure for each and puts faces near the build wall where the green does the work.

A grade preset pair that stops screen light turning skin cyan.

Video

One 45-second edit anybody can cut on a phone.

A time-lapse of the build wall going green, cut with people typing at the terminal.

Titles as transparent PNG sequences in the monospace grid, plus a CapCut guide for shooting a time-lapse from one fixed mark all day.
