The concept

Five years, five stages. Everything you learned, retired in order.

Clock Cycle maps the degree onto the thing every computer engineer had to draw from memory: the five-stage pipeline. The room is the datapath — fetch at the door, write back at the far wall — and each graduate moves through it, collecting a stamp at each stage from somebody who was with them that year.

There's a hazard table on the wall for the years that stalled, and a clock that ticks once an hour. Board green-black, silkscreen white and one trace gold.

Identity

A stage stamp and an instruction.

An instruction-format system — opcode, source, destination, stage — supplied editable in English and Arabic.

An instruction per person and a four-page guide on the one rule: gold is the trace, never body text.
