The concept

You've classified everything else. Now classify yourselves.

Call Number turns the hall into a reading room. Each graduate becomes a book with a spine label and a call number, shelved in class order on a printed bookcase wall. A card catalogue drawer holds one card per person, written by a friend, and the day closes at the checkout desk, where everyone is stamped 'due: never' and checked out of the faculty.

It's for library and information science students who notice a misfiled book from across the room. The palette is stack-room brown, catalogue-card cream and one date-stamp red.

A spine label and a date stamp.

A spine-label lockup — classification, cutter, year — in Arabic and English, with the department code as the class number. A round date stamp carries the class year. Supplied editable.

A four-page guide to the one rule: red is only ever the stamp.
